In this episode, representing Bihar, 6 players from Siwan have won 10 medals in the 16th National Grappling Championship. Medal winners include five women and one male player.
Siwan’s daughters led the Bihar team
The 16th National Grappling Championship was organized in Devansh, Madhya Pradesh. 5 female and one male player from Siwan district were selected to play for Bihar. Competing with the players from other states by participating in this four-day competition, the players of Bihar’s Siwan performed brilliantly and won a total of 10 medals. The players captured 5 gold, one silver and 4 bronze medals.
Bihar remained in third place
Bihar grappling team secured 3rd place all over India in four day national championship held at Devansh, Madhya Pradesh. In which players from Bihar won 35 gold, 10 silver and 22 bronze medals. Bihar’s team competed with many teams including Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Bengal, Kerala, Chhattisgarh. In this National Grappling Championship, Siwan’s Priyas Tiwari was felicitated by National Referee and Rohit Kumar as coach of Bihar Grappling team by Balwinder Singh, Director of Indian Grappling Association and Chairman of Devans by giving memento and citation.
Priyas Tiwari told that this game was very good. In this, 850 players from 23 states from all over India participated. In which the Bihar team performed better.
