Former cricketer liked Ashwin’s method
Was ignored in WTC final
New Delhi. Young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal has definitely got ‘Man of the Match’ for Dominica Test, but experienced all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin was also a strong contender for this award. He took five wickets in the first innings for the Blue team while bowling fast. After this, he also bowled dangerously in the second innings. This time, taking two more wickets, he showed the way to the pavilion to a total of seven batsmen.
Along with this, he has also replied to his critics for not being selected for the WTC finals. The final match of WTC between India and Australia was played in London. Ashwin was not included in the playing eleven for this exciting match. After which many former cricketers of the country had expressed their disappointment.
Now that Ashwin has played an important role in the victory of the Indian team with his excellent bowling in the Dominica Test, former off-spinner Pragyan Ojha has also taken a dig at the selectors. He said during a special conversation on Geo Cinema, ‘When champion players are not given what they deserve, they show it in a different way.’
Talking further, he said, ‘The best thing is that when he got a chance in the next match, he took 12 wickets and proved why he is the number one spinner. This is the best way to prove yourself instead of speaking.
