The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is starting from 17 October. T20 World Cup will be played in Oman and UAE. Ravichandran Ashwin, Rahul Chahar and Varun Chakraborty have been named as spinners in India’s 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup. Ravindra Jadeja has been included in the team as an all-rounder. Team India’s head coach Ravi Shastri, mentor MS Dhoni and captain Virat Kohli may have a problem in choosing the playing. Ashish Nehra believes that a player who deserves to be included in Team India’s playing XI in the T20 World Cup is Ravindra Jadeja.
Nehra told Cricbuzz, ‘It is a fact that India have five spinners in the T20 World Cup. It is believed that the selection committee is hoping that the pitch in the UAE and Oman will prove to be more helpful for the spinners. As far as spin is concerned, Jadeja will face stiff competition from Varun Chakravarthy, Rahul Chahar and R Ashwin but Nehra feels that considering his batting, it will be difficult for the coaching staff to ignore Jadeja.
IPL 2021 KKR vs DC: Kolkata Knight Riders – Delhi Capitals will face to face today, this may be the playing XI of both the teams
Talking about IPL 2021, Ravindra Jadeja has scored 179 runs in 10 matches. Jadeja scored an unbeaten 62 against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first phase of IPL 2021. He hit Harshal Patel for 37 runs in an over. On Sunday, Jadeja played an important innings of 22 runs against KKR and took 1 wicket. Nehra praised Jadeja for this and said that his innings was reminiscent of Dhoni, Andre Russell and Kieron Pollard, who played such innings again and again in their careers. Nehra further said that it has to be seen whether Team India includes him as the first spinner or as the third spinner. I would say the conditions we have seen so far will be the first names on the mind of coach Shastri, captain Kohli and mentor Dhoni when they decide on the playing XI.
