The T20 World Cup is to be played in Australia from next month. All the countries have announced their squads for the T20 World Cup and the teams are preparing for this mega event. India, Pakistan, Australia and England are considered as strong contenders to win the T20 World Cup. At the same time, former Indian wicketkeeper batsman Saba Karim has told that according to him which team is the strongest contender to win the T20 World Cup.
Saba Karim said on Sports 18, ‘I think the Australian team is very strong and they are the most likely to win this title. One of the biggest reasons for this is that he will come to play this T20 World Cup on his own soil. The kind of changes he has made in the team makes him a strong contender to win the World Cup on Australian soil.
He further said, ‘There will be bigger grounds, so you will need more power hitters. So he has selected his squad on the basis of this. They have players like Tim David and Glenn Maxwell. They don’t have Marcus Stoinis and Mitchell Marsh with them right now, but both these players are also adept at hitting big shots. So this combination makes him the strongest contender to retain the T20 World Cup title. Australia won the title of T20 World Cup played in UAE in 2021.
