Former Pakistan captain came out in support of Virat, said – King Kohli will return to form for the betterment of cricket


New Delhi. Virat Kohli, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, is not in form at the moment. He was not very successful in IPL 2022 as well. Virat has not been able to score a century in international cricket for more than 2 years. However, during this time King Kohli played many important innings. But in the last few months, his form has declined a lot. Due to which he has failed to play important innings. But former Pakistan captain Salman Butt believes that Virat Kohli will return to form for the betterment of cricket.

Virat Kohli’s bad phase continued in IPL 2022. In the 15th season, he was out for a golden duck three times. In 16 matches, he was able to score only 2 half-centuries. He is a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore since the inception of IPL. Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt says that the players know that Virat is an institution. He has sculpted himself as an athlete, a batsman and a captain.

Talking on his official YouTube channel, Salman Butt said, ‘Virat has set high standards for himself. He has hit 8 fifties in the last 14 matches. Which no one paid attention to. People believe that he is not in form. Because he has got used to scoring centuries. According to Salman, ‘Virat Kohli will return to form for the good of cricket.’

Top players need to be in form

Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt believes that the world’s top players need to stay in form. Because young and budding cricket consider senior cricketers as their role model. Thus increasing their responsibility to stay in form. According to Butt, ‘Joe Root, Virat Kohli, Babar Azam and Kane Williamson are supermodels and they need to stay in form.’
