Former Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ehsan Mani claims BCCI is run by BJP government

Ehsan Mani, former chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has made a big claim about the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Former PCB chairman says that BJP government has influence in BCCI. This is the reason why Pakistan and India cannot be talked about cricket. Ehsan Mani had resigned from the post of PCB chairman shortly before.

Ehsan Mani said in an interview to Cricket Pakistan, “Even though BCCI has Sourav Ganguly, has anyone ever wondered who is the secretary of their board? Amit Shah’s son Jay Shah. BCCI Treasurer (Arun Dhumal) BJP K is the brother of a minister. He has real control and BJP gives directions to BCCI, so I didn’t compromise or talk with him.”

Speaking about the departure of former Pakistan PM Imran Khan, Ehsan said, “When I was the PCB chairman, we had amended the law that if the performance of the chairman is questionable then the patrons cannot interfere directly. Only the board’s have the authority to do something about it. The custodian only has the authority to recommend two of the eight board members and it is up to the board who they want to appoint as the next chairman. I tried, but tried to ensure that the patron does not have a nominee.”
