Four players of the Balochistan team were found positive in the Kovid-19 test on Wednesday, forcing the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to change the matches of the National T20 Championship. However, the names of the players have not been disclosed by the PCB.
He said that tests of all the other participants and their families were conducted on Tuesday, in which the results of all have come negative. “Four players from Balochistan have been placed in 10-day quarantine and all other players have tested negative and will continue to participate in the tournament,” the PCB said.
Balochistan was to play North Punjab on Wednesday, but now the timing of this match has been changed so that North Punjab will now play South Punjab. The PCB also confirmed that the players selected in the Pakistan squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup will not play in the national tournament after Thursday as they will have to enter the ‘bio-bubble’ of the tournament as per ICC guidelines.
