New Delhi. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was seen playing in the best style against Punjab Kings in the IPL-2021 match on Sunday. He played a fine innings of 57 runs in Sharjah. Bangalore scored 164 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets and Punjab got a target of 165 runs to win. Maxwell hit 3 fours and 4 sixes in his 33-ball innings. Apart from him, young opener Devdutt Padikkal contributed 40 runs. For Punjab, Mohammed Shami took 3 wickets in the last over while Henriques also got 3 wickets.
During this, Australian all-rounder Maxwell hit a long six of 97 meters on spinner Ravi Bishnoi. Maxwell hit two consecutive sixes in the 15th over of the innings. The second ball of this over of Bishnoi was played by Maxwell over deep mid-wicket and straight on the road outside the stadium. On the next ball, he hit a six at long on.
In the match, RCB captain Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bat first. Virat and Devdutt Padikkal gave the team a quick start and added 68 runs in 9.3 overs. However, Henriques broke this partnership in the 10th over of the innings. He bowled Virat Kohli (25) on the fourth ball and then on the very next ball, Daniel Christian (0) was caught by Sarfaraz Khan.
