New Delhi. Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya will take the field against his old franchise Mumbai Indians on Friday evening. This match will be played at Brabon Stadium. This match is special for Hardik. Because he has played seven seasons of IPL with Mumbai Indians. During this, the team was successful in winning the title 4 times. Hardik’s role was also important in this. He also took 42 wickets for Mumbai in these years along with scoring more than 1400 runs. However, he will play against his old team for the first time in this season. While Gujarat is at the top of the points table, five-time champion team Mumbai is on the 10th position and has been out of the race for the playoffs.
Before this match, Hardik recalled his journey with Mumbai Indians. A video related to this has been shared by Gujarat Titans from its Twitter account.
Hardik wants to add Pollard to his team
In this video, Hardik revealed that recently he had a conversation with his old teammate and Mumbai Indians veteran all-rounder Kieran Pollard. In this he jokingly told Pollard, “You don’t know, you can come to us next year. This is my wish. But I know that is never going to happen.”

‘My journey with Mumbai was memorable’
Hardik further said in this video shared by Gujarat Titans, “I have always seen myself in blue and gold jersey. But I am in blue and gold jersey even with my home state, which becomes even more special for me. I still remember how in a match against Chennai Super Kings, we needed 32 runs in 2 overs and I hit three sixes to give the team victory. Then for the first time I also tasted success. There are so many memories, I have with Mumbai Indians, that remain till now.”
Pollard’s performance this season has faded
Pollard, who was retained by Mumbai Indians ahead of the mega auction. His performance so far this season has been sluggish. Pollard, who retired from international cricket last month, has scored just 125 runs in 9 matches at an average of less than 20.
