There are many top-order batsmen in the Indian team and India’s new all-format captain Harmanpreet Kaur has said that everyone will get a chance to prove themselves in the T20 series against Sri Lanka starting on Thursday. Left-handed batsman Smriti Mandhana, aggressive batsman Shefali Verma, S Meghna and Yastika Bhatia are the top-order batsmen in India’s 15-man squad.

Harmanpreet also backed talented all-rounder Jemima Rodriguez, who was not named in the Indian team for the last Women’s ODI World Cup but has returned to the team for the series against Sri Lanka. He said, ‘Jemica is experienced and she will definitely play an important role in the T20 series.’
Captain Harmanpreet also admitted that it will not be possible to give equal opportunity to all the players all the time but it is his responsibility to talk to everyone and prepare the ideal team combination for the big tournament. The situation regarding the live telecast of this series is not clear. However, as of now, the first match will be telecast live on the official YouTube channel of Sri Lanka Cricket.
