BikeWale’s Report It has been claimed that Hero MotoCorp is preparing to bring back the Karizma later this year. The company is reportedly working on the next-gen Karizma and will launch it with an all-new engine and chassis. Reports suggest that the company now has a new motorcycle platform, which will help Hero MotoCorp compete in the premium space.
It is also reported that the new generation Karizma will get a 210cc liquid-cooled engine, which will be capable of generating maximum power of 25bhp and peak torque of 30Nm. A six-speed gearbox will be paired with the engine. The design of the new Karizma could reportedly be inspired to some extent from the older generation.
Karizma has been Hero’s premium and very popular brand in India. From the very beginning, this lineup attracted youth. It was a matter of time when sporty looking motorcycles were not available in the country at a low price. The last facelift of the Karizma was launched in 2014 but was gradually discontinued amid declining sales and fierce competition in the lower price segment.
At present, no official information has been revealed by Hero MotoCorp about the Karizma, but the report says that the upcoming motorcycle will help the company compete with the likes of Pulsar 250s, Gixxer 250s and Dominar 250 in the market.
