NDTV’s accordingPolice have arrested the youths who were driving on the roads with a full box of sky shot on top of the boot of Hyundai Verna car and these three accused have been sent to jail. On the night of Diwali, some youths had driven a sky shot on the trunk of a moving car, the video of which went viral. After this video went viral, the police tracked down these accused and arrested them.
Police registered a case at Delhi’s DLF Phase-3 police station and arrested the three youths from Sikandarpur. The names of the accused have been mentioned as Nakul, Jatin and Krishna.
The report further states that the Delhi Police had registered 16 cases in connection with incidents of bursting of firecrackers in the city during Diwali and the four days preceding it. The police had registered 58 cases of selling crackers and seized a total of 2,834.13 kg of firecrackers.
On the day of Diwali, people in the country’s capital defied the government’s decision and burst a lot of firecrackers. Ahead of Diwali, Delhi’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai had said that bursting firecrackers in the national capital on Diwali could attract a jail term of up to six months and a fine of Rs 200.
