Pant has recently undergone ligament surgery
New Delhi. Indian cricket team’s star wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant is undergoing treatment at Kokila Ben Hospital in Mumbai. Pant was injured in a car accident in the early hours of 30 December. Pant had suffered a lot of injuries in this accident. Recently he has had a successful surgery of his right knee ligament. Pant is now recovering slowly. Left hand batter Pant’s reaction has come for the first time after the accident. He has thanked all those people who helped him in difficult times. Especially this wicketkeeper has mentioned those two ‘angels’ who helped in reaching the hospital at the right time at the time of the accident.
Sharing a picture of the two boys with their mother from inside the hospital, 25-year-old Rishabh Pant wrote on his official Twitter handle, ‘I may not be able to thank everyone personally, but I have to thank these two heroes. Must acknowledge those who helped me during my accident and made sure I reached the hospital safely. Rajat Kumar and Nishu Kumar, thank you. I will always be grateful and indebted to both of you.
Pant said thanks to BCCI
Pant has also given information about his health on social media. He wrote, ‘I am humbled and grateful for everyone’s support and wishes. Just want to let everyone know that my surgery has been successful. I am thankful that I am on my way to recovery. Pant has also thanked BCCI Secretary Jai Shah and government officials, besides the doctor and physio team.
Can stay away from cricket for a long time
According to media reports, Pant can stay away from cricket till the year 2023. His chances of playing in the World Cup this year are also very less. According to the report, it may take about 8 months for Pant to recover completely. He is also expected to undergo surgery on his second ligament in the next 6 weeks.
