ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League 2020-2023: Pakistan continued their campaign to advance to the World Cup Super League by registering another thumping win over West Indies on Friday night. After registering a massive 120-run victory in the second ODI, Pakistan jumped three places in the WCSL points table to move from 7th to 4th position. Bangladesh, Afghanistan and England are now above Pakistan. On the other hand, if we talk about West Indies, after this defeat, they have lost a place and they have moved from fourth to fifth place.
India’s loss due to Pakistan’s victory
India has suffered a lot due to Pakistan’s win over West Indies. Prior to this match, Team India was at the 5th position in the points table, but after the result of the match, Team India has slipped out of the top 5 to the 6th position. However, this will not affect Team India because India is hosting the World Cup 2023, due to which the team will qualify directly.
Talking about other teams, behind India are teams like Australia, Ireland, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Netherlands. India played the last ODI match against West Indies in February. Team India will now play 50-over matches on the England tour and during that time Team India will be eyeing to improve the points table.
