India opener Ishan Kishan jumped 10 places to reach the 23rd spot while Deepak Hooda re-entered the top-100 in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings for T20 batsmen released on Thursday. Both the batsmen moved up the table after impressive performances in the first T20 International against Sri Lanka in Mumbai on Tuesday. India won this match by two runs. Hooda climbed 40 places to 97th after scoring an unbeaten 41 off 23 balls, while Kishan was rewarded for his flamboyant 37 at the top of the order.
Even after failing with the bat in Mumbai, Suryakumar Yadav retained the top position in this ranking. In second place is Mohammad Rizwan of Pakistan. Apart from Suryakumar Yadav, no Indian player is included in the top 10 list.
