ICC Team Rankings: Abdul Razzaq alleges rigging in ICC rankings, said – Pakistan should be on top

New Delhi. Former Pakistan cricketer Abdul Razzaq has said that his team should have topped the ICC ODI rankings. He also praised his team and said that Pakistan can win the title in the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia this year. Pakistan has performed very well in the last 2 years. Under the captaincy of Babar Azam, the Pakistani team defeated Australia and West Indies in the ODI series.

In the ICC rankings, Pakistan’s team is currently at number six in Tests, fourth in ODIs and third in T20 International format. Meanwhile, Abdul Razzaq targeted the ICC ranking process and claimed that it was rigged.

Razzaq said in a conversation with Sports Pak TV, ‘To be honest, the Pakistani team should have been on the top of the ICC rankings right now. I am not saying this because of being a Pakistani cricketer. The way Pakistan has performed well in this game in the last few years, the unity in this team is visible.

He said, ‘I sincerely hope that Pakistan’s team will perform well in the coming ICC tournaments and finish the journey on the top’. Will make the number 1 team of the format and will also become the number-1 batsman himself. Babar Azam is currently the number 1 player in the ICC ODI and T20 rankings, while he occupies the fourth position in Test cricket.

Talking further, Razzaq said, ‘I do not understand the ranking process of the ICC. The way the team has performed in the last 4-5 years, it should have been the No. 1 team. I am hopeful that our team will continue to perform this great and under Babar’s captaincy we became No. 1 in all formats. On the other hand, if he continues to perform like this, then Pakistan cricket will reach heights.
