The ICC released the latest rankings on Wednesday. Ravindra Jadeja’s crown is under threat in the ICC Test all-rounders’ rankings. Right now he remains the best all-rounder in Tests, but Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan is no longer behind him. Bangladesh team is playing a Test series against West Indies, while India has to play the only Test match against England next month. One match of the five-match Test series between India and England in 2021 was canceled, which is to be played at Edgbaston from July 1. In this match, Ravindra Jadeja will try to establish his feet more firmly on the No.1 chair by performing brilliantly.
Jadeja has maintained his crown in the Test all-rounder list with 385 rating points. Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan has moved up 346 rating points to the second spot. Former India captain Virat Kohli (742) continues to be 10th in the list of Test batsmen, while veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin (850) and pacer Jasprit Bumrah (830) are second and third in the bowlers’ list.
West Indies fast bowler Kemar Roach has also moved up four places to eighth in the bowlers’ list on the back of his impressive performance against Bangladesh. Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins tops the list of Test bowlers with 901 rating points. At the same time, former England captain Joe Root remains on the throne of No. 1 Test batsman.
