Shefali is leading Team India in the Under-19 T20 World Cup

New Delhi. Shafali Verma, who is leading Team India in her first ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, likes the batting of England all-rounder Liam Livingstone. Shefali said, Livingstone is hitting the ball very well, so I like his batting nowadays. I used to watch Sachin Tendulkar sir while playing cricket, so of course, he is also my idol and I love watching him.
Shefali, who joined India’s senior women’s cricket team at the age of just 15, has played in the ICC Women’s World Cup and T20 World Cup. She was also a part of the team that won the silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Shefali has been the star performer of the team in the first 2 matches of the Under-19 T20 World Cup. He scored 45 runs in just 16 balls against the hosts South Africa in the first match of the tournament. He scored 26 runs in a single over hitting 5 fours and 1 six. In the match against UAE on Monday, Shefali played a stormy inning of 78 runs in 34 balls to give India a 122-run victory.
‘Will definitely win the World Cup’
Shefali said in the show of Star Sports, this is my first and last tournament, because this is my last year of under-19. However, I am very excited. We have a team which is very good in batting, bowling and fielding. Hopefully we will definitely win the World Cup. On the question asked about the difference between playing for the Under-19 and senior team, the 18-year-old explosive opener Batter said, there is a lot of difference in playing for both the teams. The Under-19 World Cup will prove to be important in the development of talented players.
