New Delhi. In IPL 2023 (IPL-2023), cricket lovers are getting a ‘robust feast’ of fours and sixes. After the match between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday (53rd match of the season), 1545 fours and 794 sixes have been hit. Batters of Kolkata Knight Riders have hit the most sixes in IPL so far. KKR is the only team that has reached its figure of 6 beyond 100 (106 sixes).
KKR batsmen hit six sixes in Monday’s match against Punjab Kings, out of which three sixes came from Andre Russell’s bat while Rahmanullah Gurbaj, captain Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh hit one six each. In this match, KKR won by 5 wickets on the last ball and reached number five in the points table with 10 points.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals batsmen have hit the least number of sixes in the current season so far. DC’s batsmen have been able to hit only 42 sixes so far. All-rounder Akshar Patel is the most hitter for Delhi Capitals, he has hit 13 sixes so far.
Chennai’s ‘Kings’ second and RR third
In the case of sixes in IPL 2023, Chennai Super Kings is in second place, whose batsmen have hit 93 sixes so far. Rajasthan Royals are third with 89 sixes and Punjab Kings are fourth with 87 sixes. The batsmen of RCB and Mumbai Indians have so far hit 83-83 sixes and in terms of 6, these two teams are jointly in 5th place. Batters of Lucknow Supergiants have hit 82 sixes, Batters of Gujarat Titans have hit 73 and Batters of Sunrisers Hyderabad have hit 56 sixes. In the case of sixes, Delhi Capitals is at the last number just like the position of the table at the present time.
Du Plessis of CSK has hit maximum 29 sixes
Faf du Plessis of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has hit the most sixes in the current season of IPL. Du Plessis has hit 29 sixes so far. Shivam Dubey of Chennai Superkings is second with 24 sixes and Glenn Maxwell of RCB is third with 23 sixes. Kyle Mayers of Lucknow Supergiants is fourth with 22 sixes. CSK’s Rituraj Gaikwad, RR’s Yashasvi Jaiswal and KKR’s Rinku Singh have so far hit 21-21 sixes and all three are joint fifth.
