New Delhi. Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has termed Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan as a ‘brave bowler’ and a ‘warrior’. He admitted that the versatile Afghan bowler can create problems for India. India will take on Afghanistan (Indai vs Afghanistan) in match number 33 of the T20 World Cup 2021 in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. After losing to Pakistan and New Zealand without a fight, India will now be keen to make a mark in the game against Afghanistan. However, many veterans have advised India not to take Afghanistan lightly.

Harbhajan Singh said on Sportskeeda YouTube channel that India needs to be careful with leg-spinner Rashid Khan. He said, “Not only the Indian batsman, Rashid Khan has also troubled the batsmen of other countries, be it Australia, England or any other side. He will prove to be a challenge for the Indian team. Rashid Khan is a brave bowler. He is not afraid of getting hit and is capable of giving big performances. Rashid is like a warrior on the field and always goes out to win. I hope India will bat well in the match.”

How to deal with Afghanistan bowler? India’s batting has been extremely disappointing in the two matches so far. However, he played those games in Dubai and Harbhajan expects the batsmen to do better in Abu Dhabi. Analyzing India’s batting effort, he said the team should ensure that they do not lose wickets early.

‘Abu Dhabi pitch best for batting’
Harbhajan Singh said, “Of all the surfaces, the pitch in Abu Dhabi is the best for batting. In the matches played there, the batsmen have shown that runs can be scored there. I hope we don’t lose two wickets in the first six overs. When we lose two wickets early, we take too long to recover and don’t know when to start attacking. It’s all about going out there and making sure we’re not wasting those deliveries. Even if only 40 runs were scored. Instead of getting out while trying for big hits, the batsmen need to stay on for as long as possible.
