Chasing a target of 514 runs, Bangladesh scored 272 runs at the loss of 6 wickets till the end of the fourth day’s play. Bangladesh need 241 runs to win on the last day. Hasan scored a century on his debut test. Akshar then gave the fifth blow to Bangladesh by dismissing Mushfiqur Rahim on the score of 23 runs. In the same over, he also made wicketkeeper batsman Nurul Hasan his victim. However, after this captain Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraj did not allow Bangladesh to suffer a single blow in the remaining 14 overs. Shakib returned unbeaten on 40 and Miraj on 9 runs.
