IND vs BAN 1st Test Day 5 LIVE SCORE: Team India 4 wickets away from victory, Bangladesh hopes from Shakib


new Delhi. The Indian cricket team is on the threshold of victory in the Chittagong Test match. Today is the fifth and last day of the first Test match. Team India is looking towards taking the lead in the series by taking the remaining four wickets of the hosts Bangladesh before the lunch break. By the end of the fourth day’s play, Bangladesh had lost its 6 wickets. He still needs 241 runs to win while he has four wickets left. It has become difficult for Bangladesh to save this test match. Spin bowlers are expected to get help from the wicket on the fifth day. In such a situation, Akshar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav will be eyeing quick wickets.

Opener Zakir Hasan scored a century in his debut Test match but spinners led by Akshar Patel gave India a good comeback. Bangladesh team is chasing a difficult target of 513 runs. Zakir (100) got Bangladesh off to a good start with Najmul Hossain Shanto (67) sharing a 124-run partnership for the first wicket but India managed to make a comeback in the last two sessions. For India, Akshar Patel has taken three wickets for 50 runs while Umesh Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav have taken one wicket each.

India did not get a single success in the first session but managed to get three wickets in the second session. Meanwhile, India conceded only 57 runs, while in the first session, Bangladesh took the score to 119 runs till lunch, playing ahead of 42 runs without any loss in the morning.

If Bangladesh managed to add 96 runs in the third session, the credit goes to captain Shakib Al Hasan (40 not out), who batted aggressively. He also hit sixes on Akshar and Kuldeep. Mehdi Hasan Miraj returned unbeaten after scoring 9 runs with him at stumps.
