Bangladesh lost in test series
India beat 2–0 in the Test series
Bangladesh dropped many catches in the series
new Delhi: The Bangladesh team had to face a 0-2 defeat in the Test series against India. Bangladesh team was all out for 314 runs in the second innings of the Mirpur Test match. After this, the Indian team needed 145 runs to win. Bangladesh bowlers had dropped 4 wickets for India’s 45 runs. After this it seemed that the Bangladesh team would easily win this match. But poor fielding and dropping catches cost him dearly. Captain Shakib Al Hasan himself said this after the match.
Shakib said during a conversation with reporters after the match, ‘Missing the catch is very disappointing. Other teams do not miss this opportunity. But we are missing it. The catch widened the gap. We could have got them out for 250 instead of 314 in the first innings. We had a chance in the second inning. But it is a part of cricket.
Shakib further said, ‘We did good fielding in the T20 World Cup, we did good fielding in the Test series. But we could not do that in the Test match. Maybe it happened because of fitness problem. We have to find out how we can pay attention to all this for a longer period of time. We have to avoid making mistakes. Our bowlers have to create 13-14 chances to take 10 wickets. While other teams have to make 9 chances to take 10 wickets.
Please tell that Bangladesh dropped a total of 3 catches in this series and missed 1 stumping opportunity. The biggest mistake happened when he dropped the catch of Ravichandran Ashwin in the second innings of the second test match. Mominul Haque dropped a simple catch of Ashwin off the bowling of Mehidy Hasan Miraj. Ashwin scored a total of 42 runs in this match.
