Kuldeep Yadav took 8 wickets in his comeback test
new Delhi. Chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who made a comeback in the Indian Test team after two years, performed brilliantly in the Chittagong Test against Bangladesh. He took 8 wickets for 113 runs in the match. While Kuldeep took 5 wickets in the first innings, he hunted three Bangladesh batsmen in the second. It was because of his all-round performance that India defeated Bangladesh by 188 runs in the Chittagong Test. Kuldeep contributed significantly to the team’s victory not only with the ball but also with the bat. He scored 40 runs in the first innings. He was chosen player of the match. Why Kuldeep was successful in his comeback test, he revealed it after the match.
Kuldeep Yadav said, ‘I just tried to get my rhythm and bowl aggressively. This benefited me. Did not make any significant changes in the action. Bowled with only the idea of taking wickets. I am happy with my performance with both the ball and the bat. The pitch was slightly faster in the first innings than in the second innings. There was little pace in the wicket in the first innings. But, in the second the situation was challenging.
I bowled a bit quicker in the second innings: Kuldeep
Sharing his gameplan in the second innings, Kuldeep said that the pitch had slowed down a bit, that’s why I tried to bowl a little faster. The possible greater spin on the ball makes the game challenging for the batsmen and makes it difficult for the batsman to play shots and drives using the legs.
Kuldeep took a total of 8 wickets in the match
Kuldeep also made an important contribution with the bat in this match. Made career best score in first innings. He helped India score 404 runs in the first innings by adding 92 runs for the eighth wicket with R Ashwin. After this he also took five wickets. At the same time, this spinner took three wickets in the second innings as well.
Due to the effective bowling of Kuldeep and Akshar, India chased down 513 runs and bundled out the Bangladesh team for 324 runs on the last day. In this way, India won this Test by 188 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the two-Test series. The second and last Test between the two countries will be played from 22 December.
