London. In the ongoing second ODI between India and England at Lord’s, once again, the Indian bowlers performed well and restricted the visiting team to an average run score. In fact, after losing the toss, the English team was forced to bat first and was bundled out for 246 runs in 49 overs in front of the Indian bowlers. In this plight of the host team, the 31-year-old leading leg-spinner of the Indian team Yuzvendra Chahal was the main contributor. Bowling 10 overs for the team, he got four important successes by spending 47 runs. Johnny Bairstow, Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali were named among the English batsmen whom Chahal made his prey.
Apart from Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya got two each and Mohammed Shami and famous Krishna got one success each for the team today. Shami made the opposition team’s most explosive batsman and current captain Jos Buttler his victim. Actually Shami was bowling the 19th over for India. Butler was in front of him on the fourth ball of this over. The English captain tried to play the ball coming inside with a slight swing, but he failed completely in it. The result was that he had to return to the pavilion after being lbw on this ball.
