Beginning of a new era in Team India from November 17
Let us tell you that when Rohit Sharma walks out for the toss against New Zealand in the first T20 International at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday, it will usher in a new era for India in the shortest format. Apart from the new T20 International captain, the team also has a new boss in the form of Rahul Dravid.
New faces got a chance
It provides an opportunity for fresh faces to make their mark with the next T20 World Cup scheduled for next year. A look at the team for the three-match series gives a glimpse into the future. Senior players have been rested for this series. At the same time, the stars of IPL 2021 – Harshal Patel, Venkatesh Iyer, Rituraj Gaikwad and Avesh Khan have been included in the team.
Series is also important for team management
The series is important not only for these players but also for the team management as there is less than 12 months left for the T20 World Cup in Australia. After India’s poor performance in the UAE, there is a need for change and improvement in many areas.
