IND vs NZ: Prithvi Shaw has no chance in Ranchi T20, Hardik Pandya clears picture of playing 11

Ranchi. The first match of the T20 series between India and New Zealand will be played at JSCA on 27 January. The picture of Team India has become almost clear regarding the first T20 to be held between India and New Zealand in Ranchi tomorrow i.e. on Friday. Just before the net practice, Team India captain Hardik Pandya held a press conference and told that in tomorrow’s match, Rituraj Gaikwad will not be able to play due to injury, while Prithvi Shaw will have to wait for a place in the playing 11. Pandya made it clear that Shubman Gill, who performed brilliantly in the ODI series, will play tomorrow’s match due to being in excellent form.

During practice at JSCA, it was clear that Team India is going to continue its performance in T20s just like in ODIs. During the press conference, News18 asked Hardik Pandya whether Mahi had given tips regarding the match at Dhoni’s dinner party on Wednesday evening. On this, Pandya told that he has completely squeezed Dhoni and has learned whatever he had to learn from him. Answering the questions of News 18, Pandya told that now Dhoni does not talk about cricket, but there are fun-filled things here and there.

On Thursday, the New Zealand team first practiced from 1 pm to 4 pm. After a bad defeat in ODIs, the New Zealand team is also in the mood to counterattack in T20. Most of the players of the team were seen practicing bowling and fielding. In the press conference, New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner told that the team will take the field tomorrow with a very positive approach. The captain told that the team is all set for the T20 series and the ODI performance in this series will not be affected.

The New Zealand team was also seen focusing more on bowling and fielding in the field, especially the bowlers were seen practicing wicket-to-wicket bowling. When New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner was asked by News18 whether he was missing the former India skipper in Dhoni’s city, Santner said, “Of course we are missing Dhoni.” He said that Dhoni has been a great player and there is a lot to learn from him.

On January 26, both the teams were seen sweating at the JSCA stadium regarding the match. However, during the practice itself, both the teams held a press conference and answered many questions from the media. Team India also reached JSCA Stadium at around 4.45 pm and the players of the team practiced fiercely on the net. During this, Team India was seen busy playing football along with bowling and fielding. All the players of the team were seen watching JSCA pitch closely and trying to understand it closely.
