IND vs NZ Test Series Shubman gill defense is so weak that car would have gone out: Aakash Chopra

New Delhi. India has made a good start against New Zealand in the first test match being played in Kanpur. Indian opener Shubman Gill played a half-century in the match. Despite this, he could not escape criticism. Former cricketer Aakash Chopra said on Shubman Gill being bowled that there was such a gap between his bat and pad that the car would have gone out. Shubman Gill was dismissed in the next over of the lunch break on the first day of the first Test.

Shubman Gill came out to open in the first test match against New Zealand. He got a chance to open due to KL Rahul’s injury. Before the match, it was being said that Gill would be sent to bat at number four. However, let’s talk about the match. Shubman did not take long to grab the opportunity to open. He played an innings of 52 runs off 93 balls. Gill also hit 5 fours and a skyscraper six in this innings.

Shubman Gill was dismissed in the first over after the lunch break. This was the 30th over of the innings, which was done by Kyle Jamieson. Jamieson bowled a near good length over the line of the off-stump, which Gill tried to play on the front foot. But as soon as he took his left foot forward, his balance was slightly disturbed and a gap was formed between the bat and the pad. Jamieson’s ball took advantage of this gap and hit the stumps.
