New Delhi. After IPL 2022, Team India is returning to the field again. The first exam is from South Africa. The series of 5 T20 is going to start between the two countries from June 9. This series is important in terms of preparation for the T20 World Cup. Many senior players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested for this series. In his absence, many new players have joined the team. Along with this, physio Kamlesh Jain, who spent a long time with Kolkata Knight Riders, has also become a part of Team India. He has also taken over his responsibility and he was seen in the training session of the team on Monday (June 6) in New Delhi, where the team is to play the first T20 against South Africa.
Kamlesh Jain has been included in Team India by BCCI in place of former Chief Physio Nitin Patel. Nitin Patel withdrew from Team India only after the series between India and Sri Lanka before IPL. He has been sent to the National Cricket Academy as the head of the Department of Medicine on the advice of head coach Rahul Dravid. Any Indian player who is injured, he turns to NCA for his rehabilitation and Nitin is an expert in this work. Due to this quality, Dravid recommended sending him to the NCA.
Kamlesh Jain was with KKR for 10 years
Kamlesh Jain was with KKR since 2012. He was the assistant physio of KKR for 7 years and was playing the role of head physio for the last three seasons. He was present in the training session of Team India on Monday and kept an eye on the fitness of the players.
Team India has also started training for the T20 series against South Africa starting from June 9. On Monday, the team practiced fiercely at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground in Delhi. During this, coach Rahul Dravid had a long conversation with Umran Malik. At the same time, with Arshdeep Singh, the coach and the senior bowlers of the team talked for a long time.
Dravid will go to England after the Africa series
Meanwhile, it has also come to the fore that head coach Rahul Dravid will not go to England with the Test team on June 16. He will leave for England after the South Africa series along with KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer. These three players are included in the team selected for the T20 series against England.
