The second match of the five-match T20 series between India and South Africa is to be played at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. In the first match, the Indian team had to face defeat by 7 wickets. The team could not defend the huge score of 211 runs. India’s experienced and young bowlers were heavily beaten in this match.
Avesh Khan, who was part of the team of Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022, took 18 wickets. But could not get a wicket in the series opener against South Africa and gave away 35 runs in four overs. But former India cricketer and Lucknow-based mentor Gautam Gambhir believes he will get better with experience. The former India opener wants Avesh to set his eyes on the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia this year.
Gautam Gambhir said, “Aavesh has a lot of talent. They have speed. He is capable of bowling in tough conditions. But I want to see him improve in every match. He is a young bowler, only IPL should not be his target, T20 World Cup is coming up.
