Indian team players visited Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple in Kerala

Before this match, with the intention of completely wiping out Sri Lanka in the ODI series, almost the entire Team India and members of the support staff paid obeisance at the famous Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala.
The Padmanabhaswamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram is recognized all over the world and every day thousands of people from all over India come here for darshan. The famous Pongal festival of South India is starting from 15 January. In such a situation, there is an influx of devotees to visit the Padmanabhaswamy temple on this auspicious occasion. To take advantage of this opportunity, Indian cricketers also reached the temple to have darshan of Lord Padmanabhaswamy.
On this occasion, the players of Team India were wearing traditional costumes. The players wore mundu (dhoti) below the waist and a special kind of cloth was tied around the waist. Men have to wear similar costumes for darshan in this temple. The picture of Team India’s temple visit has come to the fore. In it, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shreyas Iyer, Akshar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Suryakumar Yadav are seen in traditional dress in the temple.
India defeated Sri Lanka by 4 wickets with 40 balls to spare in the second ODI in Kolkata. Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets for 51 runs in this match. At the same time, KL Rahul scored an unbeaten 64 while chasing the target of 216 runs. Earlier, Team India defeated Sri Lanka by 67 runs in the first ODI in Guwahati. Virat Kohli had scored a century in that match.
