Rohit said in a press conference ahead of the first Test against Sri Lanka that the credit for putting the team in good shape in this format goes to Virat Kohli. Rohit will make his Test captaincy debut against Sri Lanka in the first Test starting on Friday.

Rohit said in a press conference on the eve of the match, “We are in a good position as a Test team. All the credit goes to Virat for the position we are in as a Test team. I will take it forward from where he left off.
