Rohit Sharma also scored a century on the second day of Dominica Test
New Delhi. Indian captain Rohit Sharma also scored a century after debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal on the second day of the first Test being played in Dominica between India and West Indies. This is Rohit’s 10th century in Test cricket. Rohit completed his 10th century with a four and was caught out on the very next ball. His wicket was given to debutant Alyque Athanaj. Rohit played a defensive shot on Alik’s ball and wicketkeeper Joshua D’Silva caught it before the ball fell down.
The umpire declared it not out. After this, the West Indies took a review, in which it would be clear that the ball first hit Rohit’s bat and then hit the pad. In this way, the Indian captain had to return to the pavilion on the score of 103 runs. West Indies got the first wicket in 76 overs. Rohit played 221 balls. In his innings of 103 runs, he hit 10 fours and 2 sixes.
Rohit Sharma also scored a century on Test debut against West Indies in 2013. Yashasvi also did this feat against the West Indies just like him. Rohit had earlier scored a century against Australia in this year’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Rohit and Yashasvi Jaiswal shared a 229-run partnership for the first wicket, which is a record.
Rohit Sharma has also completed his 3500 test runs in this match. Along with this, he also completed 103 Fifty plus score in International Cricket for India. With this, he became the second batsman to score the highest Fifty Plus score for India. Sachin Tendulkar did this 120 times.
