New Delhi. The Indian cricket team has reached a strong position in the first match of the two-match Test series against the West Indies. Young Yashasvi Jaiswal, who made his Test debut in this match, created history by playing a blistering innings. By scoring a century in the very first match, he became the 17th batsman to do so for India. In the third day’s play, this youngster came close to scoring the biggest score made by an Indian on debut but missed.
Yashasvi Jaiswal played a historic innings in the Dominica Test being played between India and West Indies. On debut, he went on to become the highest run-scorer for India. After bundling out the West Indies for 150 on the first day of the match, India finished the day with a lead of 162 runs, scoring 312 runs on the second day. Yashasvi Jaiswal became the first Indian to score a century on debut by scoring a century on the second day. On the third day, veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan’s record was left behind by 187 runs.

Yashasvi returned after scoring 171 runs against the West Indies. Completed a successful half-century off 104 balls with the help of 7 fours. After facing 215 balls, he scored 11 fours in a row. Completed 150 runs in 360 balls with the help of 15 fours.
Biggest innings on debut
The record of playing the biggest innings in the debut test for India is recorded in the name of Shikhar Dhawan. He scored 187 against Australia in 2013. Indian captain Rohit Sharma scored 177 runs against the West Indies on his Test debut. Yashasvi has come at number three in this list with 171 runs. Prithvi Shaw had scored an inning of 134 against the West Indies in 2018 itself.
