New Delhi: Indian athlete Hima Das has disclosed on Wednesday that she has been hit by Coronavirus and is in isolation. The 21-year-old sprinter had recently reported for the national camp at the National Institute of Sports (NIS) in Patiala and was about to begin her training. However, on reaching Patiala, he was showing mild symptoms of the disease.
Hima Das became quarantine
Hima Das tweeted and said, ‘I want to tell everyone that I have been found corona virus positive. I am fine and currently in isolation. I will use the time to recover and come back stronger than ever. Everyone stay safe and wear a mask.
I would like to inform everyone that I have been tested positive for Covid-19. I am stable and at the moment in isolation. I look forward to utilizing this time to recover and come back stronger than before.

Corona happened despite vaccine
Hima Das had taken the corona vaccine on 6 May 2021 during training at Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala, despite this she now succumbed to the infection.

Hima was the victim of injury
Hima Das last participated in the Olympic qualifying event, the Inter State Meet, where she suffered a hamstring injury in the 100m heats. After this she withdrew from the 100m finals and 4x100m women’s relay but did participate in the 200m finals.
