Finally that time has come as Kia has recently announced that the company will bring the Kia EV6 to the Indian market on 2nd June.

The Kia EV6 will be Kia’s fifth car in the Indian market after the Seltos, Carnival, Sonet and Carens. However, the Kia EV6 will be Kia’s first electric car in India. The model offered in the international market comes in two battery packs, one comprising a 58kWh unit and the other a 77.4kWh unit. However, the company is yet to release the specifications regarding the model that will be available in India.

Talking about the price, the price of Kia EV6 in the Indian market can be around 55 lakh to 60 lakh rupees. According to media reports, only 100 units of the Kia EV6 will be initially offered in India. It is believed that the Kia EV6 will arrive in India as a Complete Built Up (CBU) unit.

Specifications of Kia EV6

Talking about the range, the Kia EV6 can cover a distance of about 528 km once charged. Kia’s new EV can come with two charging options in India. The first will be a 50KW charger that will take just 73 minutes to charge the car from 10 to 80 percent. And the 350KW charger can charge the car from 10-80 percent in just 18 minutes.

As mentioned earlier, the Kia EV6 will be imported in India. This electric car will be equipped with features like air front seats, wireless charger, rain-sensing wipers and many driver assistant systems.
