INDW vs SLW: Indian women’s team announced for Sri Lanka tour, Harmanpreet Kaur got the command, Jhulan Goswami out


New Delhi. The Indian women’s cricket team has been announced for the limited overs cricket series to be played against Sri Lanka. Harmanpreet Kaur has been made the captain of Team India. Veteran bowler Jhulan Goswami has not found a place in the team announced by the BCCI selectors. On the other hand, Harmanpreet Kaur will captain India for the first time in ODIs. Harman has been made the captain of the ODI team in place of veteran player Mithali Raj. Mithali retired from all forms of cricket on 8 June. The Indian women’s team will play T20 and ODI series on the Sri Lanka tour.

India women’s T20 squad for the series: Harmanpreet Kaur (Captain), Smriti Mandhana (Vice-Captain), Shefali Verma, Yastika Bhatia (WK), S Meghna, Deepti Sharma, Poonam Yadav, Rajeshwari Gaikwad, Simran Bahadur, Richa Ghosh (WK), Pooja Vastkar, Meghna Singh, Renuka Singh, Jemima Rodrigues and Radha Yadav.

India’s ODI squad for the series: Harmanpreet Kaur (Captain), Smriti Mandhana (Vice-Captain), Shefali Verma, Yastika Bhatia (WK), S Meghna, Deepti Sharma, Poonam Yadav, Rajeshwari Gaikwad, Simran Bahadur, Richa Ghosh (WK), Pooja Vastkar, Meghna Singh, Renuka Singh, Tania Bhatia (wk) and Harleen Deol.
