He was warmly welcomed on reaching Meerut from Delhi.
From the toll plaza of Meerut to his house, the people of the city gave him a grand welcome. In this route of about 10 kilometers, it took him about 4 to 5 hours to reach home. Everyone wanted to have a glimpse of Priyanka. Some were garlanding them with flowers, some were giving bouquets and some were making their mouths sweet. How did you get success?
Priyanka Goswami – There is no short-cut to success. I waited for 10 years to get this medal. Success is never achieved in a year. One has to make continuous efforts to get it. It took me 10 years to get this medal to reach here.
You were not afraid of defeat, were you?
Priyanka Goswami- Any young player who leaves the game due to fear of defeat, it is a mistake. We should learn from defeat also, because even in defeat there is some way for a better future.
What would you say on ‘Laddu Gopal’?
Priyanka Goswami- I have a lot of faith in God. I would like to give the credit of my victory to my Laddu Gopal. The credit for this victory also goes to my coach and family. The coach was with me at my every step. He has helped me in every way. I have been practicing at Kailash Prakash Stadium since my student life.
How much government help did you get?
Priyanka Goswami- The way the state government and the central government are encouraging the players. The result of that is that the players are performing better. This series will continue further.
