IPL 2021 Final: Michael Vaughan slams Cricket South Africa for not Faf du Plessis for world cup – Latest Cricket News

Chennai Super Kings won the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 title by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday. Faf du Plessis played a major role in Chennai’s victory. Faf du Plessis scored 86 runs for CSK. Thanks to his innings, Chennai set a target of 193 runs in front of KKR. Former England captain Michael Vaughan has slammed Cricket South Africa for not including him in the T20 World Cup squad. He called this decision of Cricket South Africa ridiculous.

Vaughan tweeted, “It is absolutely ridiculous that Faf du Plessis is not playing for South Africa in the T20 World Cup. South Africa’s team will start their campaign in the T20 World Cup on 23 October. She will play her first practice match against Afghanistan on 18 October. Faf’s performance in IPL 2021 was tremendous. He scored 633 runs in 16 matches for CSK. Faf du Plessis missed the Orange Cap by just three runs. Rituraj Gaikwad, who opened with him for CSK, got the Orange Cap of IPL 2021. He scored 635 runs.

Talking about the final of IPL 2021, Chennai Super Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 27 runs to win the IPL trophy for the fourth time. Chasing a target of 193 runs, KKR could manage only 165 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs despite half-centuries from Venkatesh Iyer (50) and Shubman Gill (51). For CSK, Shardul Thakur took three and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets.
