Former IPL champion Sunrisers Hyderabad’s former captain and opener David Warner recently announced his departure from the team. Warner was the captain of the team at the beginning of IPL 2021, but after that he was stripped of the captaincy due to poor form. Kane Williamson of New Zealand was made the new captain of the team in his place. After this, he was also dropped from the team after a few matches in the UAE phase of IPL 2021. After being out of Hyderabad, Warner has once again expressed his pain. Warner has said that no one even told him why he was stripped of the captaincy. He said that he has a lot of respect for the team owners as well as the sports staff. The Australian opener, however, added that whenever a decision is taken, it should be taken unanimously.
David Warner (in Sports Today) said “Hyderabad is my second home, fans loved me a lot, I would like to play for them next year but it all depends on the franchise and management – looking forward into the mega auction”.

“With the utmost respect for the team owners, Trevor Bayliss, Laxman, Tom Moody and Muralitharan, there must be a consensus when it comes to a decision,” Warner told Sports Today. You don’t know who is going against you and who is not. The other disappointing thing for me is that I was not even told why I was dropped from the captaincy. If you want to go along the lines of form, then it is difficult because I think whatever you have done in the past, some of the benefits will come forward.
David Warner said, “sometimes you get an indication that you won’t be retained by the franchise. I would love to be part of SRH next year, Hyderabad is my second home”. (On Sports Today).
