In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, Sanju Samson scored three big scores and his team has lost all three times. Something similar was also seen in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. After the match, Samson told where the last team went wrong and what the team will have to do to come back in the coming matches.
Sanju Samson said, ‘I think we had scored a good score. The wicket was a bit sticky, and they were bowling well. We could have scored 10-20 more runs. Once you get a start on a sticky wicket, you just have to take the match forward. I wanted to take the team’s score as much as possible after the powerplay, but we kept losing wickets, then I had to hold on and build partnerships. We wanted to put up a fight-worthy score, but we achieved the target which we had envisioned at the time of the timeout.
He further said, ‘We need to work on our batting and bowling. We need to be our best on every ball and at the same time need to play strategy wise. We have to raise our standard. Talking about the match, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and decided to bat first. Samson played a brilliant innings of 82 runs off 57 balls, apart from him Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed 36 runs. Rajasthan Royals scored 164 for five in 20 overs. Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down the target in 18.3 overs for the loss of three wickets. Jason Roy 60 and Kane Williamson scored 51 not out.
