The second qualifier is to be played today in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, in which Delhi Capitals will face Kolkata Knight Riders at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Prior to this match, while Kolkata won against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi had to face defeat by four wickets at the hands of Chennai Super Kings. The match is expected to be an exciting encounter between the young and experienced captain. Delhi’s effort is to make it to the final match for the second consecutive year, while Kolkata would also like to play the final match after seven years. Before this match, former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson has advised Delhi captain Pant.
While talking in the show ‘Game Plan’ of ‘Star Sports’, Shane Watson praised Pant fiercely. He said, ‘My advice to Rishabh Pant is to play with full freedom, the way he played against Chennai Super Kings.’ Watson also praised Pant’s two sixes, which he hit with one hand against the CSK team here. Watson said, ‘He has amazing talent. My advice to him would be not to let the circumstances and the leadership get the better of him. If you play with freedom, the game will surely lean towards you. If you think you can cross a bowler then you should do so.
Watson also praised the top order batsmen of Kolkata here. He said, ‘KKR’s team has improved tremendously. Since the time Shubman Gill and Venkatesh Iyer started opening together for them, their batting has seen a lot of improvement. Rahul Tripathi has batted well in the middle order, which has strengthened the team. The luck of the team has changed due to the intention shown by their batsmen with the very first ball. In this way, the young openers have done what was the first demand of the team.
