India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya made a comeback to competitive cricket after a long time in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2022 season. Hardik Pandya, who entered the IPL for the first time as a captain, tried to give his hundred percent to the team in the initial matches not only with the bat but also with the ball. Pandya was seen in his old rhythm while bowling in the first few matches of the tournament.
But due to fitness, he decided to pull out of a match last month and after that in the last 6 matches he has been seen bowling only for 1 over. But it is not yet known whether there is a fitness problem or some other reason behind this. There is definitely a big reason behind Pandya not bowling, playing in the team as a batsman.
Sharing his opinion on Pandya, former India captain Ajay Jadeja has said that the all-rounder tried to show off and he himself is to blame for the fitness issues.
Jadeja told Cricbuzz, “He (Hardik Pandya) is no one else to blame but himself. There was no doubt that he was injured, he was making a comeback. He bowled at 140 km/h, Which was probably more than what the team needed. He probably tried to prove the skeptics wrong to show that he could do it.
Jadeja said, “He put all his effort and body… So much so that now he can’t even run properly and it’s a learning phase of life. A cricketer slowly understands his limits. So for once Then it showed its immaturity.”
