IPL 2022 Amit Mishra hopes Yuzvendra Chahal can break his hat trick record

Amit Mishra, who has taken the most three hat-tricks in the Indian Premier League (IPL), feels leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal can break his record. Chahal scored a hat-trick for Rajasthan Royals in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by dismissing Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Mavi and Pat Cummins. This is the 21st time in the IPL that a bowler has completed a hat-trick. Leg-spinner Mishra has taken three hat-tricks in IPL while Yuvraj Singh has twice.

Mishra tweeted, “Dear Chahal I am really happy with your brilliant performance and hat-trick in yesterday’s match. You have proved that the pitch and conditions don’t matter for a good leg break bowler. Hope you break my record of three hat-tricks in IPL.

Mishra had scored hat-tricks in the IPL in 2008 (Delhi vs Deccan Chargers), 2011 (Kings XI Punjab vs Deccan Chargers) and 2013 (Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Pune Warriors). Lakshmipathy Balaji was the first bowler to complete a hat-trick in the IPL.
