New Delhi. Royal Challengers Bangalore wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik continues to wreak havoc in IPL 2022. He said that he wants to do something special for the country and hence is trying his best to make a comeback in the Indian team. Karthik played an unbeaten 66 against Delhi Capitals in the 27th match of IPL. Thanks to him, Bangalore was successful in defeating Delhi by 16 runs.

Dinesh Karthik said after the match, “I have set big goals. I am working really hard to get him.” Man of the match Karthik said, “My aim is to do something special for the country. This is part of my journey. I am doing everything possible to be a part of the Indian team. It’s good to know that people consider me to be calm.” RCB captain Faf du Plessis also credited Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed for the victory, who shared an unbroken partnership of 97 runs in the end.

Karthik scored an unbeaten 66 and Shahbaz made an unbeaten 32. Apart from these, Glenn Maxwell played an innings of 55 runs as RCB made 189 for five despite the top order faltering. Du Plessis said after the match, “It is important for the top order that we contribute by scoring runs. Our top order didn’t work but other batsmen contributed. But a special innings was needed to reach 190 and the credit goes to the two players Shahbaz and Dinesh Karthik.

Despite David Warner’s 66 runs, Delhi Capitals could only manage 173 for seven while chasing a target of 190 runs. Delhi captain Rishabh Pant said that the team will have to improve its batting in the middle overs but did not blame Mitchell Marsh who was struggling to score runs.
