IPL 2022 DC vs KKR Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders probable playing 11 | DC vs KKR: After the no-ball controversy, Delhi will face Kolkata today, may be playing 11

DC vs KKR Preview: The team of Delhi Capitals is desperate to make a comeback forgetting the ‘no ball’ controversy of the last match. He will also face another team longing for a comeback, against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Delhi had to face defeat by 15 runs in the last match against Rajasthan Royals. The match was in the news due to the controversy over the no ball being given to the high full toss, after which Delhi’s assistant coach Praveen Amre was banned for one match.

Delhi KKR’s condition worsens

Delhi are seventh on the points table with three wins from 7 matches, while KKR have lost their last four matches and are at the eighth position. Delhi’s batting is strong in which players like David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant and Rovman Powell are there. KKR bowlers have to be careful in front of them. Warner failed to play against the Royals after scoring three consecutive half-centuries and he will be eager to play the big innings again. Prithvi also needs to convert his good start into big scores. Delhi tried Sarfaraz Khan at number three but he failed. It has to be seen whether the team shows confidence in him again.

Pant will have to show amazing

Captain Pant and the three all-rounders Lalit Yadav, Shardul Thakur and Axar Patel will have to play an important role. Pant can turn any match on his own, but he has not been able to do proper justice to his ability so far. Powell showed his ability to hit sixes well in the last match. The Delhi bowlers have done well, but they have to forget the thrashing at the hands of Jos Buttler in the last match. Khaleel Ahmed is taking wickets in the beginning and Mustafizur Rahman has given him good support.

KKR need to come back

As far as KKR is concerned, he needs to get his combination right. All the batsmen including its captain Shreyas Iyer will have to perform better. Shreyas could not walk in the last match. His opening pair of Sam Billings and Sunil Narine also failed. If both of them are reassigned the responsibility of opening the innings, then they will have to give an aggressive start to the team. It will not be easy for Shreyas, Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh and Venkatesh Iyer to face the Delhi spinners. The fielding of Venkatesh in the middle order has not yielded favorable results so far. KKR’s fast bowlers Umesh Yadav and Tim Southee are performing well but spinner Varun Chakraborty’s absence is a matter of concern for him.

Playing 11 can be like this:

DC: Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Rovman Powell, Sarfaraz Khan, Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman, Khaleel Ahmed

KKR: Venkatesh Iyer, Sunil Narine, Shreyas Iyer (c), Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Sam Billings (wk), Tim Southee, Shivam Mavi, Umesh Yadav, Varun Chakraborty
