New Delhi. In the IPL 2022 match between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, a request was made to the players by the BCCI. Before the match, the BCCI had reportedly asked Rishabh Pant’s Delhi not to shake hands with any RCB player. Actually this request was made keeping in mind the defense. According to the news of the Indian Express, the board had issued such a circular due to the arrival of Corona case in the Delhi team.
In fact, Delhi physio Patrick Farhart was found to be Kovid 19 positive, forcing the entire team to be quarantined. Although no player’s RT PCR test came positive, the board issued instructions as a precaution.
Due to Corona, the tournament had to be stopped in the middle of the last season.
The corona epidemic became a headache for the BCCI last season. Last season, many players were caught by this virus. Due to which the board had to stop the tournament midway. Although this time the threat of virus is negligible, but despite this the board does not want to take any risk.
Talking about the match played between Delhi and RCB, RCB won the match by 16 runs. Dinesh Karthik made a big contribution to RCB’s victory by playing an unbeaten 66 off 34 balls. While batting first, RCB scored 189 runs for 5 wickets in the allotted over. In reply, Delhi could only score 173 runs in the stipulated over. Josh Hazlewood took 3 wickets for 28 runs.
