Before the match, the BCCI had reportedly asked Rishabh Pant’s Delhi not to shake hands with any RCB player. Actually this request was made keeping in mind the defense. According to the news of the Indian Express, the board had issued such a circular due to the arrival of Corona case in the Delhi team.
In fact, Delhi physio Patrick Farhart was found to be Kovid 19 positive, forcing the entire team to be quarantined. Although no player’s RT PCR test came positive, the board issued instructions as a precaution.
Due to Corona, the tournament had to be stopped in the middle of the last season.

Talking about the match played between Delhi and RCB, RCB won the match by 16 runs. Dinesh Karthik made a big contribution to RCB’s victory by playing an unbeaten 66 off 34 balls. While batting first, RCB scored 189 runs for 5 wickets in the allotted over. In reply, Delhi could only score 173 runs in the stipulated over. Josh Hazlewood took 3 wickets for 28 runs.
