IPL 2022: Hazlewood shows ‘josh’ after Faf du Plessis, Bangalore registers 5th win by defeating Lucknow

Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs in the IPL-2022 match, thanks to the sharp bowling of pacer Josh Hazlewood after a brilliant innings of captain and opener Faf du Plessis (96). Bangalore scored 181 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. After this, the Lucknow team could only score 163 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Du Plessis hit 11 fours and 2 sixes in his innings of 96 off 64 balls. At the same time, Hazlewood gave 25 runs in 4 overs of his quota and took a total of 4 wickets. Bangalore team registered its 5th win in 7 matches, which now has 10 points and it has reached the second position in the table. Chasing the target of 182 runs, the Lucknow team got the first blow early when Quinton de Kock (3) was caught by Josh Hazlewood on Glenn Maxwell. Suyash Prabhudesai (10) hit a six on Bishnoi’s free hit, but after waving the bouncing ball in the air from Holder, caught it to Krunal, which made the team’s score 62 for 4 wickets. However, Du Plessis kept one end and played some attractive shots in the middle. He found a good partner in Shahbaz. Both completed the team’s century in the 12th over. Du Plessis completed his half-century in 40 balls with a six and then a run on Bishnoi.
