IPL 2022 LSG vs PBKS Lucknow Super Giants register victory against Punjab Kings yet captain KL Rahul looks unhappy

In the Indian Premier League IPL 2022, Punjab Kings lost by 20 runs against Lucknow Super Giants in a low scoring match on Friday. Punjab Kings team could not even chase the target of 154 runs. However, after the match, Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul expressed his disappointment over the performance of the batsmen. Rahul gave full credit of this victory to the bowlers of the team. Lucknow had scored 99 runs for two wickets in 13 overs. It seemed that the team would make a big score, but in the next three overs, the team’s score was 111 for six wickets.

In this match, the fast bowlers took full advantage of the extra bounce they were getting from the pitch. Batting first, Lucknow Super Giants scored 153 for eight, but their bowlers restricted Punjab Kings to 133 for eight. After the match, Rahul said, ‘We were not happy with the performance of our batsmen. We have experience in our batting order and we should have taken advantage of that. The pitch was difficult to bat, but we should have scored more than 160 runs.

“But our bowlers bowled very well. Krunal (Pandya) has done well throughout this IPL. He bowled economical and took wickets at crucial times. Apart from this, the way the fast bowlers bowled, our team benefited from it. Rahul said, ‘We need to understand the conditions in any match in a good way. We should know what to do when we have to.’
