IPL 2022 Updated Orange Cap And Purple Cap After Match 27 Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore


In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, two matches were played on Saturday 16 April. In the first match, Lucknow Super Giants beat Mumbai Indians by 18 runs while in the second match, Delhi Capitals lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore by 16 runs. Lucknow captain KL Rahul scored a brilliant century in the first match of the day. During his unbeaten innings of 103 runs, Rahul hit 9 fours and 5 high-rise sixes.

Rahul has now reached number two among the top 5 players in the Orange Cap race. Rahul has now got 235 runs in his name and only Jos Buttler of Rajasthan Royals is ahead of him, who currently has the Orange Cap on his head.

By defeating Delhi, Bangalore made it to the top-3 in the points table.

Kuldeep has 11 wickets from five matches and is only one wicket away from the 12 wickets of Yulvendra Chahal of Rajasthan Royals, who currently holds the Purple Cap.
